GUWAHATI: Another Assam Police Service (APS) officer has been summoned by the Special Investigation Team (SIT) in the APSC cash-for-job scam.
The police officer has been identified as Analjyoti Das, APS who has been asked to appear before the CID office.
Speaking to GPlus, Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) Munna Prasad Gupta, the person heading the SIT, confirmed the summon.
Das, who previously held the position of Additional Superintendent of Police in Dima Hasao, has been directed to present himself before the SIT at the CID office on January 5. It is noteworthy that Das has already faced suspension in connection with the ongoing probe.
The APS officer is among those being investigated by the SIT as part of its efforts to unravel the details surrounding the alleged irregularities in the Assam Public Service Commission recruitment process.
