GUWAHATI: If speculations are to be belived, then another veteran congressman is likely to jump onto the BJP band wagon.
In what has become a common trend now, three time Congress MLA from Mariani, Rupjyoti Kurmi is the next big name set to quit Congress.
Sepaking to News18, Kurmi said, "I am here to serve the people but without Congress govt. I am unable to fulfill all the commitments. People have asked me to join BJP so that I can do more work. Hence I am now confused now whether to join BJP or not.

"But if BJP provides me with an oppournity to be a part of them and serve the people then I will join the party." he added.
It is to be mentioned that on June 3, Congress President Rahul Gandhi officially resigned from the party and will now work as only a member.
