GUWAHATI: In a recent order issued by the Governor of Assam, Anand Mishra, Asstt. Inspector General of Police (Sports), Assam has been transferred and posted as Superintendent of Police, Lakhimpur with effect.
He will be taking over from Bedanta Madhab Rajkhowa, who was the Superintendent of Police, Lakhimpur. He has been transferred as Asstt. Inspector General (Sports), Assam.
SP Nagaon, Leena Doley has been transferred and posted as Superintendent of Police, Hailakandi with immediate effect.
Nabaneet Mahanta who was the SP of Hailkandi has been transferred and posted as the Superintendent of Police, Nagaon.
It is to be noted that after the mysterious death of SI Junmoni Rabha, investigating agencies including the CID found some correlation between several police officers in the Nagaon district and some in the Lakhimpur district and there has been a major reshuffle in the Assam Police Department in the mentioned district.
