GUWAHATI: Union Minister of Home Affairs, Amit Shah, will reach Guwahati on September 8 for a two-day visit to chair the North Eastern Council (NEC) Plenary where the progress and status of the ongoing and upcoming development projects will be assessed and attend a North East Democratic Alliance (NEDA) meeting.
According to reports, Shah is likely to land at the Guwahati Airport at around 11 AM. Shah will also tale part in the 4th Concalve of Notth East Democratic Alliance (NEDA) on September 9.

The NEC was restructured in July last year through the nomination of the Home Minister as its chairman.
It is to be mentioned that Amit Shah will be making his first visit to the northeast after taking over as Union Home Minister.
