GUWAHATI: Union Minister of Home Affairs, Amit Shah, will reach Guwahati on September 8 for a two-day visit to attend North East Council (NEC) meeting where the progress and status of the ongoing and upcoming development projects will be assessed.

The NEC was restructured in July last year through the nomination of the Home Minister as its chairman.
It is to be mentioned that Amit Shah will be making his first visit to the northeast after taking over as Union Home Minister.
