Amid CAB Protests Suicide Note of AGP President Found with Effigy

GUWAHATI: Amidst protests all across the state against the Citizenship Amendment Bill, an effigy of Asom Gana Parishad (AGP), president Atul Bora along with a ‘suicide note’ was found hanging in front of the party headquarters in Guwahati.

The suicide noted stated that, “greetings, My name is Atul Bota, to save my existence I have sold my mother. I have insulted 855 martyrs and now I am feeling guilty. Thus, I have decided to end my life in front of the AGP office.”

It is to be mentioned that the AGP leader had recently stated that his party was not going to oppose the Bill.

Earlier, three of the AGP leaders Keshab Mahanta, Phani Bhusan Choudhury including Bora had resigned from their posts opposing the Bill.
