GUWAHATI: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma unveiled an array of developmental projects during a public hearing, with a focus on bolstering infrastructure in the Maligaon Area.
Highlighting the initiatives, Sarma divulged a groundbreaking scheme that entails the construction of a strategically positioned flyover adjacent to the Bharalumukh Railway Crossing. The proposed project aims to seamlessly link Shantipur and Bharalumukh, significantly enhancing commuter convenience.
Furthermore, Chief Minister Sarma expounded on the comprehensive plans to alleviate traffic congestion along the vital GS Road artery. He also announced the construction of compact flyovers near the Rajiv Bhawan in ABC and the Downtown area of Guwahati. These strategic additions to the city's infrastructure are anticipated to bring about substantial improvements in traffic management and overall urban connectivity.
