GUWAHATI: The all-new Thar was launched at Poddar Autocorp Private Limited, Authorised full range dealership of Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. in Guwahati on October 12.
It was launched by Akshay Poddar, CEO of the dealership, Rajdip Roy Chowdhury, Area Sales Manager, M&M Ltd. and Ravi Agarwal, former champion in Rallying and a Mahindra Adventure enthusiast.
Speaking at the event Ravi Agarwal said, “The new Thar is completely loaded. Thar as we already know is rugged and has phenomenal off-roading capabilities. The new Thar is completely refined and packed with luxury. We can use it both for off-roading and for everyday life. It’s a beautiful vehicle. I request every one to take a test drive of new Thar.”
The all-new Thar has created a sensation across the nation and has already received more 10,000 bookings since its launch on 2 October.
The new Thar comes in two variants – AX and LX – starting with Rs 9.80 lakhs for AX variants and Rs 12.49 lakhs for LX variants (ex-showroom, Guwahati) and are available in both petrol and diesel engines with choice of three roof options a Hard-top, First-in-class Manual Convertible, and a fixed soft-top.
The new Thar comes loaded with features like power windows, 17.7 cm infotainment touch screen with GPS navigation, Apple car play, and Android Auto, fog lamp, daytime running lamp, cruise control, dual airbags, and 18-inch alloy wheels.
Keeping in mind the sporty and adventurous lifestyle of its owners, the All-New Thar is loaded with technology that keeps drivers connected with the Thar, their surroundings, and friends no matter where they are, through multiple first-in-class features.
The ground clearance of the new Thar is 226 mm, and its water wading capacity is 650 mm.
