GUWAHATI: The All India Junior Ranking Badminton Tournament held its final matches at the Tarun Ram Phulkan stadium in Guwahati.
The competition featured singles, doubles, and mixed categories.
In the girls' doubles category, Karnika Sree S from Karnataka and Taneesha Singh from Uttar Pradesh secured a remarkable victory during the first match, defeating Gayathri Rani Jaiswal from Karnataka and Sania Sikandar from Tamil Nadu.
In the Boys' singles category, Samarveer representing Chandigarh emerged victorious during the second match, defeating Pranay Shettigar from Maharashtra.
The subsequent event in the tournament was the Girls' singles category, where Tanvi Sharma representing Punjab emerged victorious by defeating Shreya Lele from Gujarat.
In the boys' doubles category, Nicholas Nathan Raj and Tushar, both hailing from Karnataka, showcased exceptional teamwork and secured a resounding victory against Divyam Arora from Uttar Pradesh and Mayank Rana from Haryana.
In the finale of the tournament, Samarveer from Chandigarh joined hands with Radhika Sharma from Punjab in the mixed doubles category.
Together, they displayed remarkable coordination and clinched a memorable victory against the formidable duo of Bharat Sanjal S and Sania Sikkandar from Tamil Nadu.
This tournament was very crucial for the winners as they will be competing in the Asian Junior Badminton Championship 2023 which is scheduled to be held in Indonesia from July 7-16.
