AHSEC Assures Solution Over Out Of Syllabus Questions In Exams

GUWAHATI: Amidst concerns about out of syllabus questions in the ongoing examination for higher secondary students, the Assam Higher Secondary Education Council (AHSEC) has clarified that students may not worry about it.

Earlier, students complained that the psychology paper had a total of 25 marks questions which were not from the syllabus. The same issues were raised by students who appeared for the finance paper in the ongoing examination.

Speaking to GPlus, a concerned teacher said, "In my subject- Psychology, around 25 marks questions were not from the syllabus. That portion was initially struck out. But, now students are facing problems regarding the paper."

Another student said, "The finance paper too had questions which were not taught during classes. We were in a dilemma as we could not complete the paper."

Meanwhile, a senior official from AHSEC mentioned, "The council has always considered the future of students and their progress. We will figure out a solution and deal with such issues accordingly. Students are requested not to worry about it and prepare sincerely for their other examinations."

After allegations were raised by many students and parents that the questions were out of syllabus questions on Mathematics of High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC), Assam Education Minister Ranoj Pegu on March 1 had said the students would get marks if there was any question which was out of the syllabus.
