GUWAHATI: Dibrugarh University is set to introduce a Japanese language course starting next academic year, as announced by Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Sunday, March 2.
This initiative aims to provide students with valuable language skills while also strengthening ties with Japan, opening up new opportunities for local youth.
To lay the foundation for these upcoming engagements, a Japan Caravan was recently organised on the university campus by the Japan Foundation. The event focused on promoting cultural and educational exchanges between the two nations.
Chief Minister Sarma expressed his full support for the initiative via the social media platform X.
