Ahead Of Durga Puja, Cooking Gas Price Hiked Again By Rs. 15

GUWAHATI: Ahead of Durga Puja, the state-run fuel retailers on October 1 raised the price of non-subsidised cooking gas by Rs. 15.

From October 1, the price of LPG in Delhi is Rs. 605 per cylinder (14.2 kilograms) in Delhi, and Rs. 630 per cylinder in Kolkata, according to Indian Oil Corporation - which supplies liquefied petroleum gas (LPG).

In September, the prices of LPG in metros were hiked nearly 3 per cent compared with the previous month.

It is to be mentioned that oil marketing companies calculate the retail price of LPG cylinders by taking into account two primary factors - international benchmark rates and the exchange rate of US dollar and rupee.
