GUWAHATI: The Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) has scheduled five pairs of special trains for candidates appearing in the upcoming Assam Direct Recruitment Examination (ADRE), to be held on Sunday, October 27.

These special trains will aim to provide smooth travel for the appearing candidates, and manage the anticipated surge in the number of passengers during the exam day.
Train No. 05456/05457 will depart from Alipurduar at 17:00 hours on October 26, this train arrives in Kamakhya at 04:30 hours the following day. The return service from Kamakhya leaves at 15:30 hours on October 27 and reaches Alipurduar by 03:30 hours on October 28. Stops include Dhubri, New Bongaigaon, and several other towns.
Train No. 05101/05102 will depart from Karimganj at 4:00 and from Silchar at 21:00 hours on October 27, 2024. This train will stop at New Karimganj, Bhanga, Badarpur, and Arunachal. It will arrive in Silchar at 06:40 hours and return to Karimganj by 23:40 hours.
Train No. 05139/05140 will depart from Haibargaon at 14:00 hours on October 26, reaching Guwahati by 18:15 hours. The return journey is scheduled to leave Guwahati at 15:00 hours on October 27 and arrive in Haibargaon at 20:00 hours, with stops at Chaparmukh, Jagiroad, and other significant stations.
Train No. 05119/05120 will leave Mariani at 15:35 hours on October 26, arriving at Narangi by 05:00 hours the next day. The return journey starts from Narangi at 15:30 hours on October 27, reaching Mariani at 04:00 hours on October 28. Key stops include Jorhat Town, Numaligarh, Dimapur, Lumding, and several other major stations along the route.
Finally, Train No. 05679/05680 will run a morning service from Jamira at 04:00 hours and an afternoon service from Silchar at 15:30 hours on October 27, this train stops at Hailakandi, Katakhal, and other stations. Arrival times are 07:10 hours in Silchar and 19:00 hours back in Jamira.
