Netflix web series, 'Delhi Crime', that has the renowned actor from Assam, Adil Hussain in a prominent role, bagged the Best Drama Series Award at the 48th International Emmys.

Announcing the news, Adil Hussain took to his official Twitter handle to say, “Delhi Crime #DelhiCrime wins the Emmy @iemmys International Awards for Best Drama. Congratulations @RichieMehta unmatchable @ShefaliShah dearest @rajeshtailang and whole team Big Big Congratulations!”
Delhi Crime is directed by Indian-Canadian director Richie Mehta.
The series is based on the horrific 'Nirbhaya' gang rape of Delhi. Its first two episodes were premiered at the Sundance Film Festival 2019 in the Indie Episodic category and received much applause for its sensitive retelling of the horrific crime.
