GUWAHATI: Actor Naseerudin Shah was stranded for hours at Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport due to non-availability of public transport following an 11-hour bandh in Assam and neighboring states on January 8.
Many passengers were stuck in the airport in Guwahati following a bandh in the Northeast to protest against the Citizenship Amendment Bill.

Naseerudin Shah came to attend the Kartik Hazarika national theatre festival in Tezpur. After the bandh ended, the organisers of the festival later arranged a car for the actor to reach the event.
The 11-hour bandh that started from 6 am to 4 pm was called by various organisations and political parties in the Northeast to protest against the Citizenship Amendment Bill.
