Abducted Assam girl rescued in Nashik, Maharashtra

GUWAHATI: Assam police on June 23 rescued an abducted girl from Assam from a hotel in Nashik in Maharashtra.

The victim, who has been rescued after 11 days of her abduction on June 12, hails from Baliram in Jamunamukh area of Assam’s Nagaon district.

According to reports, the missing girl's family had lodged an FIR with Jamunamukh police, based on which Hojai police and Jamunamukh police intensified the investigation and traced the victim and rescued her safely.

Assam police nabbed one Jabed Ahmed who had allegedly abducted the girl and took to Maharastra.

It should be mentioned that Assam Finance Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma took to his twitter handle to thank Assam police for this achievement.
