GUWAHATI: The All Assam Students' Union (AASU) on December 29 stated that it will launch a fresh series of agitation against Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) from January 1, 2020.
The organisation which is leading the protest movement against the Act in the state of Assam is aid to hold meeting, marches and other agitation programmes from January 1.
The student body is determined to oppose the visit of Prime Miniter Narendra Modi's visit to Guwahati to inugrate the 'Khelo India Games'.

The organiation is also keeping a close eye on the T-20 cricket match between India and Sri Lanka slated on January 5, 2020.
Meanwhile, AASU said that it will extend its support to the Government employees opposing the CAA.
