GUWAHATI: On the occasion of the 93rd birth anniversary of Bhupen Hazarika on September 8, Airports Authority of India (AAI) named the conference hall of its regional headquarters in honour of the late singer.
The conference hall is now known as Dr. Bhupen Hazarika Hall.
The hall was inaugurated by regional executive director of AAI Sanjeev Jindal and popular Assamese singer Sadananda Gogoi. Guwahati Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International (LGBI) airport director Ramesh Kumar and other staff members were also present at the occasion.

It should be mentioned that AAI also named another conference hall after Kalaguru Bishnu Prasad Rabha at the same event.
