GUWAHATI: The Karimganj Police, acting on credible intelligence, intercepted a truck and seized a massive haul of 80,000 YABA tablets on Wednesday, October 9. The operation led to the arrest of two individuals currently in custody and under investigation.

Assam CM took to X and lauded the efforts of Assam police, saying, "Based on credible intelligence @karimganjpolice successfully executed an anti-narcotics operation, intercepting a truck and seizing 80,000 YABA tablets. Two individuals have also been apprehended in connection with this case. Good job by @assampolice."
Previously, in an operation conducted on Tuesday, October 8, in a raid at Badarpur Police Station area, the Assam Rifles and Karimganj Police seized 10,000 Yaba tablets. One individual was apprehended.
