75,000 People Quarantined across Assam to be Released Today

GUWAHATI: Assam Finance and Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said that around 75,000 quarantined people are going to be moved to their respective districts from April 10 onwards after medical check-ups.

Taking to his Twitter handle, Sarma wrote, "Some Assam citizens were stuck on Bengal border in Srirampur as they were in transit the day lockdown was imposed. They completed their 14-day quarantine. We're initiating process to send them back homes after check up. I visited & enquired about health with my colleagues."

The minister also added that all persons so far have been found to be healthy and the discharging board is taking decision to discharge the quarantined persons from Friday.
