GUWAHATI: Around 644 members of six different rebel groups of Assam surrendered on January 23.
According to reports, the extremists from ULFA, NDFB, KLO, NLFB, NSLO and Adivasi Dragon Force have surrendered at a function at the Gauhati Medical College and Hospital Auditorium in Guwahati.
Earlier, Assam DGP Bhaskarjyoti Mahanta said that all the rebals will lay down their arms before Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal. The amount of arms and ammunitions are expected to be huge in numbers.
