Guwahati: A group of 6 (six) active ULFA cadres have surrendered before Assam Police today with sophisticated arms and ammunitions.
According to the Police, the cadres have found it difficult to make entry into Assam because of sustained presence of security forces along the border.
The ULFA cadres were fed up with the activities of their leaders, like kidnapping of indigenous workers of tea gardens and destroying the tea industry in Assam.

The names of the ULFA cadres are Pranab Gogoi, Apurba Moon, Satyajit Moon, Jishu Doley, Rituraj Moran and Abhijit Gohain.
