GUWAHATI: A moderate earthquake measuring 5.7 on the Richter scale struck Kamjong, Manipur, on Wednesday, March 5 at 11:06 AM (IST).

The earthquake, recorded at a depth of 110 km, was centered at latitude 24.75°N and longitude 94.35°E. Tremors were felt across parts of Manipur and neighbouring regions of Assam and other Northeast India causing panic among residents.
As of now, no reports of major damage or casualties have been received. However, authorities are monitoring the situation closely, and disaster response teams are on alert.
Moreover, multiple earthquakes have also been felt in the Myanmar region on March 5 with magnitudes of 4.7 and 4.5 at 03:36:49 IST and 03:54:49 IST, respectively.
