In yet another incident that took place in the outskirts of the city on Friday, as many as 42 dogs were rescued by Just Be Friendly (JBF) along with Assam Police.
After receiving a call from a well-wisher, JBF immediately informed the Assam Police seeking for support and was successful in rescuing 42 dogs from killing for meat.
The dogs were found in a very critical condition. They are suffering from dehydration, fear and other serious problem since they were grabbed, dragged, put in gunny sacks and tightly tied up with steel chains; mouths were gagged so that no one would hear the cries.
