GUWAHATI: Assam recorded 613 new cases in last 24 hours as per health minister Himanta Biswa Sarma’s latest tweet at 11.55 pm on June 30.
With this rise in numbers, the state has a total of 8407 coronavirus positive cases of which 2,745 are active. While 5,647 persons have been cured and discharged, 12 succumbed to the virus.

The health minister laid much emphasis on the need for caution in Guwahati city through a tweet, as 380 out of the 572 latest cases were reported from the city itself.
“Alert - 572 new COVID19 + cases detected today. Today, 380 cases were reported in Guwahati City alone, and need for caution can't be overemphasized.” tweeted the minister.
As per latest data released by the state on it's official COVID advisory website, Kamrup Metro has 1,284 confirmed cases of which 893 are active and 386 have recovered from the disease. This data was last updated at 1pm on June 30.
