GUWAHATI: Assam Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said that for faster publication of coronavirus test results, three new labs will be operational from this week in Guwahati.
These three labs have been built at Gauhati Medical College & Hospital, Dr. B. Borooah Cancer Hospital and Sonapur Civil Hospital.

The minister also added that two more labs are being established in Barpeta and Jorhat Medical College & Hospitals. Meanwhile, a lab in public and private partnership will come up in Ayurveda Hospital as well.
The minister said, “I am expecting in total six labs for RT PCR and viral testing phase II will be operational in the state within this month." He added, “19 labs in total will be established."
