GUWAHATI: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Thursday, February 13, announced that the state government has approved 2.5 lakh business proposals as part of its efforts to boost economic growth, prior to the upcoming Advantage Assam 2.0 Summit, to be held on February 25-26.

"Simplicity, Efficiency, Transparency – our mantra to ensure Ease of Doing Business in Assam,” Sarma posted on X. “We have so far approved 2.5 lakh business proposals through our single-window clearance system! Come invest in Assam, invest in a bright future."
Speaking to investors in Singapore, he highlighted Assam’s commitment to becoming a ₹10-lakh crore economy through policy reforms and investor-friendly initiatives in the coming years.
Sarma also concluded his three-day visit to Singapore on the same day, where he engaged in discussions with government officials and industry leaders, emphasising Assam’s improved ease of doing business.
The chief minister highlighted Assam’s resources, strategic geographical location, and ongoing economic transformation. He also expressed confidence that three major projects; the Numaligarh refinery expansion, the upcoming Tata semiconductor facility, and the Namrup fertilizer unit would further strengthen Assam’s business climate.
Sarma finally invited several Singapore-based investors to explore investment opportunities in Assam, reinforcing the state’s vision for sustainable economic growth.
