2 BJP Youth Wing Members Arrested for Torching Union Minister Rameshwar Teli’s Residence

GUWAHATI: Three persons, including two active members of the Bharatiya Janata Party Yuva Morcha, were arrested for allegedly attacking the house of Union minister Rameswar Teli in Duliajan in Dibrugarh.

The incident occurred during an anti-Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) protest last year on December 11.

A team of Dibrugarh Police arrested Vicky Sonar (30), a resident of Assam Gas Company Medical Colony, Anup Kahar (24), a resident of Tilling at Duliajan and Debojit Hazarika, a resident of Tipling.

Meanwhile, a team of Assam Police arrested Moon alias Debojit Hazarika (38), from his residence in Duliajan’s Tipling.

Both Debojit Hazarika and Vicky Sonar have been a part of the BJP for the last five years.
