GUWAHATI: The opening ceremony and trophy unveiling of the 1st North East (NE) Little Masters Trophy 2025 for Under-14 boys was held at the 91 Yards Club Auditorium on Friday, April 18, within the Assam Cricket Association (ACA) Stadium premises in Guwahati.

Organised under the aegis of the Assam Cricket Association, the tournament has been initiated as a step towards promoting grassroots cricket across the northeastern region, according to a press release.
The inaugural edition of the tournament features eight teams representing the northeastern states. The competition, played in a 40-over format, will offer young cricketers a platform to showcase their skills and gain match experience at an early stage.
The teams have been divided into two groups. Group A consists of Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Meghalaya and Mizoram. Group B features Tripura, Sikkim, Manipur and Nagaland.
Matches will be held across two venues in Guwahati, and the final has been scheduled for April 30, at the ACA Cricket Academy Ground in Amingaon, North Guwahati.
