17 HSLC Students Expelled For Cheating in Assam

GUWAHATI: The High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC) examination has just started on February 10 and as many as 17 students in Dhubri District were caught cheating.

According to reports, the students were expelled from two examination centres – Raijhora Higher Secondary School, Bahalpur and Salkocha Higher Secondary School, Chapar in Dhurbi district of Assam.

While 10 students were caught cheating from the Raijhora Higher Secondary School, the other seven were from Salkocha Higher Secondary School examination centre.

Earlier, SEBA announced that if any student found engaging in malpractice during the ensuing HSLC/AHM examinations will be expelled for a period of three years.

This year in Assam around 3,48,739 HSLC candidates and 9,707 AHM candidates is appering for the board examination in 860 centres.
