16 Teams Compete In Football Championship Held In Assam Tea Estates

 

The first edition of McDowell's No 1 Celebration Soda Celebration Cup is all set to grace the tea estates of Assam from May 4 to May 12. Organised by Radio Gup-Shup 94.3 FM, this initiative promises to bring together the essence of community and competition in a unique sporting extravaganza.

A total of 16 teams hailing from tea estates across four zones of Assam - Tinsukia, Jorhat, Sivasagar, and Dibrugarh - are gearing up to showcase their skills on the field.

With four teams representing each zone, the tournament is poised to witness fierce yet friendly matches as players from diverse backgrounds come together to compete for glory.

The venues for this exciting event are none other than the picturesque Atthabaarie Tea Estate Playground in Demow and the Rajmai Tea Estate Playground. These lush green fields will serve as the battlegrounds where teams will vie for supremacy and honor.

Apart from the thrill of the matches, the McDowell's No 1 Celebration Soda Celebration Cup also promises exciting rewards for the deserving winners.

The top two teams will be awarded prestigious trophies, with the champions receiving a cash prize of 30,000 rupees and the runners-up bagging 20,000 rupees.
