GUWAHATI: 137 cancer patients along with two attendants arrived in Guwahati from Mumbai on Tuesday night, May 12.
All the patients reached Guwahati in 6 sleeper buses for which the cost of the entire journey has been borne by the Assam government and another voluntary organisation.
The patients were later sent for quarantine after requisite screening at the Sarusajai stadium.

Speaking to media, Assam State Health Minister, Himanta Biswa Sarma said that the swabs of the patients have been taken and till the test reports come in they will stay at Radisson Blu Hotel.
Meanwhile, the results are set to come later today and if found negative the patients will be sent to home quarantine.
