GUWAHATI: Around 12,000 employees of the National Register of Citizens have been relieved from their service with effect from November 30.
The relieved employees will have to submit their documents to concerned authorities on December 01.
Meanwhile, the NRC authorities are yet to provide the proof sheet of 19 lakh people who names have not been listed in the final list released on August 31.

The process of updating NRC started all the back in 2013, since then the employees were working under WIPRO.
Recently, Union Home Minister Amit Shah stated that the work for new NRC will start soon.
