GUWAHATI: According to an income tax order passed after reassessing the incomes of Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi relating to Associated Journals Ltd., the Congress leader duo had escaped incomes that were declared and assessed in 2011-12.
As per the I-T reassessment order, more than Rs. 300 crore of Gandhi's' income escaped and their tax liability is around Rs. 100 crore.

It is to be mentioned that the Supreme Court allowed the Income Tax department to proceed against the two Congress leaders with re-opening of their tax assessment for the 2011-12 financial year in connection with the National Herald case.
