YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia's Channels Hacked, Videos Deleted

GUWAHATI: Popular YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia, known for his channel BeerBiceps, fell victim to a cyberattack that led to the hacking of both his YouTube channels. Allahbadia, who was in Singapore at the time, acknowledged the hack a day later.

The hackers renamed his channels to "@Elon.trump.tesla_live2024" and "@Tesla.event.trump_2024" before deleting all of his videos, including his popular podcasts and interviews. Then, the channels uploaded old live streams featuring Elon Musk and Donald Trump.

Both of Allahbadia’s channels have since been removed from YouTube. The platform issued a message stating that the channels were taken down due to policy violations. Searches for the channels now display a message: “This page isn’t available. Sorry about that.”

Despite the incident, Allahbadia took a lighthearted approach, posting humorous Instagram stories. One story featured a picture of him enjoying a vegan burger in Singapore, with a caption: “Celebrating my two main channels being hacked with my favourite food.” In another post, he posed with a cat-eye mask, asking jokingly, “Is this the end of my YouTube career?”

Ranveer Allahbadia initially launched BeerBiceps as a fitness channel, offering tips on health, diet, and motivation. Over time, he expanded into other content, including interviews with high-profile personalities for his podcast, gaining a loyal following in the process.

YouTube is yet to comment on the incident or the restoration of his channels.  This is the latest high-profile hacking event to happen a week after the Supreme Court's YouTube channel faced a similar attack.
