GUWAHATI: A youth accused of theft has been critically injured after being reportedly thrown off the Chandmari flyover in Guwahati on Thursday, December 12 around 11 AM.
The injured person is identified as Rokibul Ali from Bhaskar Nagar.
According to reports, an employee of a construction company accused Ali of theft and threw him from the flyover. The fall resulted in severe injuries to his feet.
The Chandmari Police responded swiftly, rushing Ali to the Gauhati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) for urgent medical treatment.
Speaking to GPlus, an official from Chandmari police station said, “An investigation is ongoing to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident and whether the individual is indeed a thief.”
