Yashasvi Jaiswal Becomes Third Youngest Indian To Hit Double Century In Tests

GUWAHATI: Cricketer Yashasvi Jaiswal crossed 200 runs in the second test against England today at the ACA-VDCA Stadium in Visakhapatnam, becoming the third youngest Indian cricketer to smash a double century in tests right after cricket legend Sunil Gavaskar and Vinod Kambli, reports stated.

The 22-year-old scored 200 runs off 277 balls, and showed great composure even as the wickets kept falling at regular intervals at the other end.

India had ended Day 1 at 336 runs for six wickets, with Yashasvi scoring 179 runs from 257 deliveries, even as the other batters failed to cross the half-century mark in the innings.

The first innings ended today with India at 396 runs in 112 overs, as England cricketers Zak Crawley and Ben Duckett came out to bat.
