GUWAHATI: The Sribhumi police conducted a source-backed anti-narcotics operation in the Hathikhira area, resulting in the interception of a truck transporting 1.5 lakh YABA tablets. The seized tablets, weighing over 16 kilograms, were being smuggled from a neighbouring state trying to enter Sribhumi, erstwhile Karimganj.

The value of the overall consignment of the drugs have been estimated to be worth around ₹45 crore.
One individual has been taken into custody in connection with the case. Authorities have stated that further investigations are underway to uncover the network behind the smuggling operation.
