GUWAHATI: Indian wrestlers Vinesh Phogat and Bajrang Punia joined the Congress party on September 6.

The induction ceremony was held in the presence of key party leaders, including Congress General Secretary KC Venugopal, party spokesperson Pawan Khera, Haryana Congress President Udai Bhan, and AICC in-charge of Haryana, Deepak Babaria.
Earlier today, Phogat officially resigned from the Indian Railways and relayed the information via a post on X saying, "Serving Indian Railways has been a memorable and proud time of my life.”
