The Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) confirmed that the tests, conducted on September 12 and 13 were successful. Both tests saw the missile intercept high-speed, low-altitude aerial targets designed to simulate sea-skimming threats, demonstrating the weapon’s accuracy and ability.

The DRDO's statement highlighted that these tests confirmed the missile system’s reliability and the effectiveness of its recent upgrades. “In both the tests, missile successfully intercepted a high speed low altitude aerial target mimicking sea skimming aerial threat,” DRDO’s official account posted on X.

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh praised the Indian Navy, DRDO, and other teams involved, noting that the missile's advanced technology would provide a significant boost to the Armed Forces.
