GUWAHATI: A woman travelling aboard a train which was plying from Agartala to Barauni gave birth to a baby at Guwahati Railway Station at 6:55 AM on Monday, January 20.

The expectant mother was travelling with her husband on train bearing the train number 01666. Railway authorities were alerted, and a railway doctor, along with other station staff, rushed to assist. With their help, the woman successfully delivered her baby at the station.
Following the delivery, the mother and newborn were transferred to the Gauhati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH).
