GUWAHATI: In a case of man-elephant conflict on Sunday in the Jagiroad area of Assam, a wild elephant attacked and killed a local resident.
The incident took place at Makaria in Nellie village, located near Jagiroad in the Morigaon district of Assam.
According to initial reports, a wild tusker ventured out in search of food and unleashed a rampage, resulting in the unfortunate loss of one life.
The victim has been identified as Kolimon Deka and the local residents recovered the lifeless body of the deceased.
