GUWAHATI: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) is on the brink of securing a third consecutive term, but the outcome is diverging from exit poll predictions. Despite the bold "abki baar, 400-paar" slogan, the ruling coalition is falling just short of the 300-seat target, with 293 won.
Contrary to the pollsters' expectations, the Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance (INDIA) has proven to be a strong competitor, leading in 232 seats. Key battleground states like Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, and Rajasthan are witnessing closely contested races, challenging earlier forecasts.
