GUWAHATI: A creative video featuring characters dressed as Chitragupt and Yamaraja has taken social media by storm, using humor and satire to highlight the dire state of pothole-laden roads. The video, which surfaced on X (formerly Twitter) on August 27, has rapidly gone viral, capturing the attention of netizens across the country.

In the video, two individuals donning the costumes of the mythological figures Chitragupt and Yamaraja are seen conducting a mock long-jump competition on a road filled with dangerous potholes in Karntaka's Udupi. They are joined by costumed skeletons and ghosts, adding a theatrical flair to the performance.
This isn't the first time such stunts have been used to spotlight infrastructure issues. Earlier this year in Assam, a resident made headlines after jumping into a waist-deep pothole on NH-27 near Khetri to raise awareness about the deteriorating road conditions.
The video continues to gain traction online, sparking discussions about road maintenance and the safety of daily commuters.
