GUWAHATI: The "Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra" was held at two prominent locations in the city, namely Bhaskar Nagar, Durga Puja Field, and Milan Jyoti Sangha, Ganeshpara.
This nationwide campaign aims to create awareness about various government schemes and policies among citizens through outreach activities, striving for the comprehensive coverage of central government schemes across Gram Panchayats, Nagar Panchayats, and Urban Local Bodies.
The "Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra" featured multiple events, including "Meri Kahani Meri Zubani," where beneficiaries of various schemes shared their experiences, highlighting the positive impacts of government welfare initiatives. The programme also offered free health care check-ups, Aadhaar card registration, Ayushman Card generation, and registration for various government schemes, ensuring seamless access for those in need.
The Chief Guest at the event was the Mayor of Guwahati Municipal Corporation, Mrigen Sarania, accompanied by local councillors of GMC. Both locations witnessed the participation of more than 2500 people.
An Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) van provided by the Government of India played a pivotal role in showcasing short films that emphasised key welfare schemes such as PM Ujjwala Yojana, PM Aawas Yojana, PM Svanidhi, and others.
