Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra Creates Awareness On Government Schemes In Guwahati

 

GUWAHATI: The Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra took place on December 14 at two locations in Guwahati – Pragatishil Sangha, Saukuchi, and Vivekananda Sporting Club, Colony Bazar.

The nationwide campaign, Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra, is aimed at spreading awareness about various government schemes and policies among citizens, with a focus on achieving widespread coverage across Gram Panchayats, Nagar Panchayats, and Urban Local Bodies.

The event featured diverse activities, including "Meri Kahani Meri Zubani," where beneficiaries shared personal experiences of benefiting from government welfare schemes. Additionally, the program provided free healthcare check-ups, Aadhar card registration, Ayushman Card generation, and registration for various government schemes, ensuring increased accessibility for those in need.

The Chief Guest, Mayor of GMC, Mrigen Sarania presided over the event, accompanied by local Councilors of GMC. More than 2500 individuals actively participated in the program at both locations. The Government of India's IEC van showcased short films during the event, highlighting welfare schemes such as PM Ujjwala Yojana, PM Awas Yojana, and PM Svanidhi, among others.
