GUWAHATI: Veteran journalist Atanu Bhuyan is likely to be the third candidate from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) to contest the Rajya Sabha polls.
According to reports, journalist Moon Goswami collected the nomination papers on behalf of Atanu Bhuyan on Thursday, March 12.
Meanwhile, on March 11, BJP has selected Bhubaneshwar Kalita as the party’s candidate for one of the three seats.
On the other hand, Congress-AIUDF named senior journalist Ajit Bhuyan as their Rajya Sabha candidate from Assam.
