Union Home Secretary Govind Mohan Holds Crucial Meeting In Guwahati

GUWAHATI: Union Home Secretary Govind Mohan conducted high-level discussions in Guwahati with the Assam government on Tuesday, November 5.

He was joined by Assam Chief Secretary Ravi Kota, Director General of Police (DGP) GP Singh, and several senior officials across key departments.

The meetings focused on reviewing the Adivasi Peace Accord, followed by a session on the Karbi Accord. Other discussions included the Dimasa National Liberation Army (DNLA) peace accord and the ULFA peace process, thereby addressing stability and rehabilitation for former militant groups.

Talks on reintegration and support for surrender members concluded at 6:30 PM, while Mohan is further scheduled to hold reviews of the Assam-Meghalaya Border Agreement on Wednesday, November 6, along with a separate session on the boundary agreement with Arunachal Pradesh.

Mohan is currently on a two-day official visit to Guwahati.
