The University Grants Commission (UGC) has released the academic calendar for the 2020-21 session for the first-year students of under graduation and post-graduation.
"In view of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Commission has accepted the report of the committee and approved the University Grants Commission (UGC) Guidelines on Academic Calendar for the First Year of Under-Graduate and Post-Graduate Students of the Universities for the Session 2020-21," tweeted Dr. Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank, Union Cabinet Minister for Education.
The classes for the first semester will start from 1st November 2020 and the admission process is to be completed by 30th October 2020.
First semester exams will be conducted from 8th to 26th March 2021.
The classes for the second semester will begin from 5th April, 2021. Second-semester exams will be conducted from 9th to 21st August 2021.
