The admission process will be conducted in two key stages:
-Step 1: Registration & Profile Completion – Students can begin registering and updating their profiles from April 11 at 4:00 PM.

-Step 2: Institution & Programme Selection – This phase will commence after the declaration of Class 12 (HS 2nd Year) results. Notably, Step 1 will remain open even after Step 2 begins.

Important Guidelines for Students
-Mandatory Documents: Students must upload required government-issued documents during registration. Those with documents ready are encouraged to complete their profiles early.

-No Registration Fee: There is no fee for registration or accessing institution prospectuses. Students will only pay the admission fee as per the Government of Assam’s approved fee structure for regular courses or the actual fee for self-financed programmes.

-Fee Waivers: Eligible students can apply for fee waivers as per existing government policies.

-Unified Admission Platform: Institutions are not allowed to run separate admission portals or collect additional charges.

Responsibilities of Institutions

-Institutions must also prepare and publish merit lists within the SAMARTH portal and share them on their official websites.

-Admission-related announcements must be shared via institutional websites and social media channels to ensure wide reach.

All official communications regarding admissions will be published on the SAMARTH portal and through updates from the Higher Education Department, Government of Assam, and the Directorate of Higher Education.
